The phantom tollbooth

This is abook about a boy named Milo and has too much time on his hands. One day when he came home from school he found a package that had a sign that said 'To Milo who has too much time'. When he opens the box it has sign that say tollbooth up ahead. when he gets it put together he starts driving with the car that came with the box. He puts the fake money in the tollboth and starts driving. When he looked up he saw a new world. As you can see this is a very weird book. As Milo starts dring he encounters a buch of contrary people. This would be a perfect book for people of all ages.

This was one of my favorite books as a kid--and I didn't realize all the plays on words that were used. What did you think of the doldrums? The busy tasks at the end? I think I'm the type of person who could get distracted moving a mountain of sand with a pair of tweezers!
