To Kill a Mockingbird

I have recently finished the book named "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. This story takes place in a small southern town in the 1950's. There is a girl who is about 9 years old named Scout. Her brother who is about 13 years old is named Jem. Their father, Atticus, is in his 40's. He is a white lawyer who is defending a black man who is on trial for raping a white woman. The book is about what happens in their lives within a four yearspan. Near the end of the book Scout is in a school play and has to dress as a ham. After the play Jem and Scout start to walk home. It was pitch black because it was very cloudy that night. As they walked down the street they heard footsteps behind them. They started to walk faster when the footsteps got faster and louder. Jem told Scout to run when he saw a man with a knife running towards them. Find out what happens by reading this book.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood

I am reading "Harry Potter and the Half Bood Prince" by J.K. Rowling. This book has all the same characters as all the rest of the other Harry Potter books.Of course this includes Harry Potter and Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. This book is about when Harry loses his potions book and has to use an old copy. It turns out that the old copy of the book has tons of spells and clues in it. One spell is called sectumsempra. When Harry was walking down the hall he heard someone crying . It was Malfoy. When Malfoy saw Harry he got mad and shot a spell at him. Harry shot the sectumsempra spell at Malfoy. It was as if a sword had cut across Malfoy. Harry felt terrible because he didn't know what the spell could do to someone. Find out more by reading the book.
