Peter and the Starcatchers
I have just recently finished a book called Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry.This book has suspense,terror and magic. It explains all the events that occur in the story of Peter Pan. Things such as how Captain Hook got his hook, where Peter found Tinker Bell and how he learned to fly. It all starts out when Peter and all his friends are boarding a boat. The boat is going to take them to the New Kingdom on the other side of the ocean. Later this land is where they will become servants to the king of the New Kingdom. When Peter gets aboard he sees that there is a girl about his age also on board. The girl's name is Molly. He walks over and starts talking to her. They soon became friends. A few weeks later the lookout sees a pirate ship heading right for them. A few weeks later the pirate ship is beside their ship. The pirate ship sinks their ship. Peter, Molly and his friends are the only ones who get scooped up and taken aboard the pirate ship.This is the point where the adventure really begins. As the story unfolds you are given an insider's view explaining the events of the story of Peter Pan.This book is full of excitement. If you want me to tell you about it more you are out of luck. You are just going to have to read it to find out for yourself.Take my advice this book is really good.
Snakehead By Anthony Horowitz
Snakehead by Anthony Horowitz is a part of his Alex Rider series. THis young teenage boy is a part of an American secret agency M14. He has already saved the world multiple times. This time he has to investigate the possibility of an illegal smuggling ring in India. Alex is sent to India where he meets his new partner, Ash. Ash knew Alex's parents who were killed in a plane crash when Alex was a baby. Together their job is to stop this smuggling ring and ruin the plans of Major Yu, the head person of the smuggling ring. Throughout the book Alex finds himself in a bunch of predicaments. While trying to complete his mission Alex knocks a building into a river,burn down a mental hospital and saves the lives of many celebrities. He first meets Yu when he tries to leave India. He somehow ends up on the same boat with Yu. Alex is caught and brought to Yu's cabin. This is where he tells Alex that he is going to send him to a fake mental hospital where his organs and body parts will be taken out and given to rich people when needed. While Alex is there, he is given sleeping pills to make him sleep at night. Each night he would pretend to take the pills. Then he would hide them under his mattress. The night before they were going to remove his eyes for an organ donation, Alex opened his window, dropped his locker onto the guard knocking him unconsciuos. Alex climbed down to the ground and walked toward the guard dog. He took out a piece of meat stuffed with all the sleeping pills he was supposed to have taken. The dog fell asleep almost instantly. After that Alex took a can of gasoline and drizzled it all over the front of the mental hospital and then set it on fire. Alex ran away and went back to the M14 headqurters. He reported everything that had happened. The agency then told the American government who met with the Indian government. The Indian government sent their military to shut down the smuggling ring.They found Yu and sent him to prison for life.I would highly recommend this book to people who like to read books containing adventure, action and mystery.
